Electric bikes:More emission-reducing, lower-cost, and more efficient modes of travel

In recent years, the concept of green and low-carbon development and healthy life has been deeply rooted in the hearts of the people, and the demand for slow-moving connections has increased. As a new role in transportation, electric bikes have become an indispensable personal transportation tool in people's daily life.

No segment of bicycles is growing faster than electric bikes.Electric bike sales jumped by an incredible 240 percent over a 12-month period as of September 2021, compared to two years prior, according to the market research firm NPD Group. It’s a nearly $27 billion industry as of last year, and there’s no sign of a slowdown.

E-bikes initially break down into the same categories as conventional bikes: mountain and road, plus niches like urban, hybrid, cruiser, cargo and folding bikes. There has been an explosion in e-bike designs, freeing them from some of the standard bicycle constraints such as weight and gearing.

With e-bikes gaining global market share, some worry that standard bikes will become cheaper. But fear not:E-bikes aren’t here to rob us of our human-powered way of life. In fact, they may very well enhance it—especially as travel and commuting habits change following the coronavirus pandemic and shift of work commuting.

The key to urban travel in the future lies in three-dimensional travel. Electric bicycles are a more emission-reducing, lower-cost, and more efficient way of travel, and will definitely be vigorously developed under the premise of ensuring safety.
